I don’t know how I’ve survived these past few weeks, there has been so much going on! At this point I might as well say “bring it” to the following weeks.

This movie is absolutely brilliant! If you haven’t seen it by now I suggest that you give it a chance.Hugo (2011) ★★★★★
Saw it last night. Absolutely magical! *-*
Just watched Hugo. Wow.
So true to the book, so beautifully shot, so well acted….. Just…. that movie. It’s such a brilliant story, and you really can’t help but fall in love with every character.
I’ve been told by a few people (and my parents are positively adamant) that Isabella (the girl in the movie) reminds them of me. Which is a lovely compliment, because I really love her character, and all her little nuances - her love of reading, compassion, quick-wittedness, the fact that she uses such big words just because she can, and therefore hugely confusing Hugo. She is just such a great character. However, I don’t really totally see it. Dad’s convinced I’m her right down to the mannerisms, which I do find kind of funny. But I dunno. As I said, I don’t see it as much.
And that little boy, Asa Butterfield, who played Hugo. What an actor. He just brought the character to life - and not even just because he looks just like the boy in the book. Everything about him made me think of how I had imagine Hugo Cabret. It was uncanny. Also, might have been just me, but I thought he had a rather expressive nose.
Anyways, brilliant movie. I do believe it deserves all those nominations it has.
